Jimi Hendrix – Scorpio Woman – Rare Maui Home Recording (Part 3)

Recorded in Jimi’s Maui home that he was staying at for his extended vacation, this 21 minute song is a beautiful masterpiece. This was recorded by him alone probably in 1969 or 1970. Enjoy.

Thank you for all three parts. 5/5

I have never heard a guitar player like Hendrix, it’s amazing how he could just make this up.

This should have millions of views instead of other stupid videos with talentless people who call themselves artists.

It’s just sad.

Man, part of the reason this has so few views is that hardly anyone knows about this. I’ve been on Jimi Hendrix for a few months now, and I’ve been finding all his rare youtube songs and what not, and I just keep on coming across gems like this.

I hate listening to Scorpio Women because I imagine what the world would be like if he didn’t die in 1970.

this may be jimi’s swan song.

Played all within the soul. Amazing!

That’s the very essence of songwriting putting your ideas down and not being afraid to let it all hand out.

im not saying jimi’s famous stuff doesnt have that special feeling and soul-groove (because it is does), but this stuff goes so deep and is so much purer and insightful. it makes me wonder about how much he had to channel his creativity for the purpose of commercial music/albums and the frustrations that must have arisen from that. not that he disliked the music he created, just that left to his natural self this earthy bluesy sound would be more apparent in his playing.

This sounds nothing like Jimi Hendrix to me!
