Maui is awesome! I’ve been here with my Travel Academy on April 18, 2008. We stayed there for 2 days and 1 night. Damn I miss Maui. Thanks for the upload. It brought back some memories.

Beautiful. Feel like I was there yesterday – can’t wait to be sitting out back on Kimo’s lanai with a Bud and some Mahi Mahi again. Thanks for the vid.

I loved this place! Take your time and stroll for a few hours…check out all the trinkets and trash to take home with you…one upscale art outlet gave me a glass of red wine and told me about the art from Picasso, Tony Curtis, Red Skelton etc. They had one that looked detailed but when you got up close it was just colored blobs of oil paint…and dont forget to try the coconut Shraaaamp at Bubba Gumps…mmmmmm tasty! Have fun you lucky people going there soon! Mahalo!

Hm…

I just moved back home from here last month.

Not a lot of people on Front St. when this was filmed.

LahainaDad August 20, 2010 at 5:20 am

@RCRhythm Good observation. I just added to the video description: “I filmed this early morning before the crowds show up.” Filming early in the day makes the video quicker, because you don’t have to watch a non-moving video as I stop in the street for crossing pedestrians and stopped cars. But a lot of the excitement of Front street is the energy from those hordes of people.

RCRhythm August 20, 2010 at 8:38 am

@LahainaDad I’ve been trying to find a way to move back there. I really loved it. I had a hard time finding a job, though. Also had a hard time finding a place with affordable rent. But it was such an amazing place that I just stayed until I ran completely out of money.

I’d do just about anything to get back there.
